FINALLY FALLEN
6/14/26
Week after week this season, Corbin Fallen has been right there in the conversation for Player of the Week. Consistent at the plate, solid in the field, doing all the things a veteran player does to help his team — and week after week, someone else's name ended up getting called. Not this time.
In Trinity's doubleheader against St. Faustina, Fallen put together the kind of night that was impossible to overlook. He went 5-for-8 across both games with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored, finishing with a .625 average on the night. Five RBIs in a doubleheader is a big deal no matter how you slice it, and in a week where Trinity desperately needed a win to snap a six-game losing streak, Fallen showed up and delivered.
Game one wasn't easy for anyone. St. Faustina jumped out to an early lead and the momentum never really swung back Trinity's way. But Fallen kept his head down and did his job, going 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored from his spot at shortstop. Even in a game that got away from the team early, he was one of the few guys putting consistent at-bats together.
Game two was where things really opened up. With Trinity fighting to end a tough stretch and keep things close in a back and forth battle, Fallen came through again — 3-for-4, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored from first base. He was one of the driving forces behind Trinity's 16-run output that ultimately sealed the win. When the team needed guys to step up in a big spot, number 44 was right there.
What makes Fallen's Player of the Week honor mean a little more is the context around it. This isn't a guy who just had one random hot night. He's been one of the steadiest players on this roster all season long — and frankly, for as long as he's been putting on a Trinity uniform. The veteran presence he brings to the lineup every single week is the kind of thing that's easy to take for granted until you stop and really look at the numbers. He's always hitting, always competing, and always in the right spot on the field whether he's at shortstop or first base.
