WALK-OFF WIN

With the playoffs right around the corner and Trinity needing a sweep to head into the postseason with some momentum, Young stepped to the plate in the bottom of the eighth inning of a 25-25 tie and delivered the walk-off RBI to end it. Game over. Sweep secured. Just like that, number 87 wrote himself into one of the best moments of the 2026 season.

Game one he set the tone quietly, going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored as Trinity put up 22 runs in a dominant performance. It wasn't a night that screamed Player of the Week from the box score, but he was doing his job and contributing to a lineup that was clicking on all cylinders.

Game two is where his night became something to remember. He went 4-for-6 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored in one of the better individual performances of the game. And then in the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied at 25 and the playoffs looming, he came through with the hit that ended it. That's 6-for-11 on the night with 3 RBIs — solid numbers by any measure — but none of it matters more than that final at-bat.

For a veteran guy who has put in his time, there's something really satisfying about seeing the big moment come at the right time. Trinity heads into the playoffs riding the energy of that walk-off, and Kaleb Young is a big reason why.
