2026 ROSTER OVERVIEW

5/4/26

Trinity is going into 2026 with a much bigger roster than 2025. Trinity will be losing statement players like Finley Thurner, who will be gone for the 2026 season due to an internship, but looking to return in 2027, and Sonny Frye, who is out this year with a shoulder injury and hoping to come back strong in the 2027 season. While losses like these players hurt, Trinity tried their best to recruit decent replacements, and ended up with a lot of talent and players with very high upside. Today we are going to go over their new roster and how each player can impact this team, as well as to find out a little bit more about the players who play for this new Trinity team.

Ben Obman (#3)

Ben is the first of many new players that we are going over today. Ben is a young 20 year old that looks to add some power to the lineup. He has not played many sports before, but he has the potential to be a good power hitter. He is a college student right now, and he is very excited to play. It is something new for him that, if he likes it, could end up being something he does for a long time. Since he is new, his positions are unknown, however, he is predicted to be a catcher or second baseman. He is looking to make an impact, and his bat could be a huge impact.

Trent Beachem (#10)

Trinity’s star pitcher and newly promoted assistant manager is back for some revenge. He looks to improve on his all star level pitching in 2025, as well as try to get the bat going a little more this year. If Trent could make some consistent contact, he would be one of the best average hitters on the team. All he has to do is make contact because he is so fast that no one would be able to throw him out at first. He is a huge piece on this team, he is Rafe’s right hand man, that is why he was promoted to assistant manager after last year. He is looking for another big year on the mound and maybe a big year at the plate.

Zane Hankey (#11)

Zane is returning after only playing one game in the past two years. He is returning to the team but not necessarily as a player. He still has some looming injury problems from before. However, he is such an asset as a vocal leader that he is returning as a coach. He is going to help however he can with this young roster. Everyone on the team really enjoys having Zane around and really listens and takes what he says well. He is welcomed back and everyone is excited to have him.

Jim Beatty (#13)

Jim is another new player and the first of the new group on Trinity that I have coined the “Dad Squad”. He spent last year in the stands watching this team before deciding to join the Trinity team this year. He is a softball coach himself, and he could also add some good power to this lineup. So far position wise he is projected to play catcher or first base. His hitting could be a big add to the team, and make this offense even more explosive than it was last year.

Cooper Doty (#14)

Cooper is yet another new addition to the Trinity softball team. He was a pretty late addition to the team in the offseason. There is a lot of unknown about him, however he seems fast and he seems powerful. He could be a sneaky 5 tool player if he ends up developing well. Right now he is projected to be an outfielder, which is always good to have more outfielders. He is another young college student that has the potential to be an all star player.

Dave Martino (#17)

Trinity’s 2025 Team MVP returns to anchor this lineup. He has turned out to be the 5 tool player they needed whenever he first joined this team. He is one of the fastest on the team, the only player who comes close to him in speed is Trent. He can hit for both power and average. He is one of the best defensive players on the team, he is just an overall all-star for the Trinity team. He played mostly outfield last year, towards the end he did play a little bit of shortstop. This year his primary position is looking to be shortstop, but he will probably end up in left-center a good bit as well. Dave is going to do everything to help propel this team to be a championship contender that they have the potential to be.

Isaiah Thompson (#19)

Isaiah returns to the team after having to leave halfway through the season last year due to him heroically enlisting in the army. Not only is he a hero to the team, but a hero to the entire nation. He provided both solid defense and offense for Trinity in 2025 while he was playing. He returns hoping to pick up where he left off. He is very reliable when he is both hitting and fielding. He is hoping to once again be a staple piece in the lineup.

Nick Perella (#22)

Nick is a new player to the Trinity team in 2026, and already he is going to be a great guy to add to the locker room. He will be a glue guy, he is one of the nicest people you will meet, and he is super enthusiastic to start the season. Not only that, but he has a lot of potential, just like the other additions. He played on his college IM team for softball. He played first base for them, so that might be where he ends up for Trinity, however he could end up in the outfield as well. He also could bring some good power to the Trinity lineup. He is pumped to play for Trinity softball and he looks to be a big addition to the team.

Layla Brennan (#23)

Layla is not new to the Trinity team, but this is her first year listed as a player. She spent 2025 scorekeeping and keeping stats for Trinity, which is what she will most likely end up doing for a lot of the 2026 season. However, she is going to try to play a little bit to improve her skills to be a future key member of the team. She is the best scorekeeper and stat tracker in the league. Any team would hope to have one like her.

Ethan Simmers (#23)

Ethan returns to Trinity hoping to play a lot for the first time since the former Trinity won the championship in 2023. When he played originally, he was a super solid fielder and hitter. He played a lot of leftfield and was very surehanded. He also was almost always good for singles and doubles every time he got up to the plate. He hopes that he is able to play a lot this year, as well as return to form pretty quickly. Teams always need players like Ethan, and Trinity is hoping to have him back for a good amount of this year.

Logan Myers (#24)

Logan and his dad are the two last additions that this Trinity team made. Logan is a young college student, who used to play baseball. Baseball players have transferred well into this league in the past, so he most likely will as well. He has got a lot of speed and could be a very good bat for the Trinity team. The biggest challenge he will have to face is working on his timing. Once he gets that down, he could be an all-star player. He is projected to be a pretty good utility guy, playing second base, third base, or having him in the outfield. Even though he was a late addition, he could be one of the best additions from the offseason.

Cadin Helfrich (#25)

Cadin is returning for his second year for the Trinity softball team. He is a very, very good defensive player, mostly playing third base and shortstop. While it took him a few games to get used to softball pitching, once he was used to it he became one of the most clutch hitters in the 2025 season. He is coming back to play a lot of third base and shortstop, but we could see him play some outfield in 2026 if the situation is right. He is coming back to continue to be just a solid piece and a gold glover in this lineup.

Aaron Myers (#31)

Aaron Myers is the newest member of the Trinity team, and the second member of the “Dad Squad”. There is a lot of unknown with him. The manager has not even seen him yet. However, by the sounds of it, it sounds like he will be a very solid addition to the lineup. He joins his son, Logan, and looks to play hard and help this team win. He is projected in the outfield as of now, but that could change as the season changes. Either way, he will be a solid addition to this Trinity team.

Evan Shearer (#37)

Evan returns and looks to build off of his very strong rookie of the year season last year. He burst on the scene last year with his electric diving plays and his insanely consistent bat with some sneaky power behind it. He quickly became one of the centerpieces of the lineup. He is a big part of the lineup for this year’s team, and he could be a big part of helping elevate this team to the next level. Not only was he a great player on the field, he is also a glue guy off the field. He always keeps the team spirits up and he gets along with everyone. He is no doubt a fan favorite. He is a great member to have on any team, and Trinity is glad it is them.

Grace Thurner (#42)

Grace comes back to the lineup after joining halfway through the 2025 season. She joined and made an immediate impact. She was a very good catcher and a very good hitter as well. She is still rookie of the year eligible due to her joining late last year, and she could be one of the favorites to win the award. She is a very good hitter and looks to continue her good season from 2025.

Corbin Fallen (#44)

Corbin is a power hitter returning to Trinity in 2026. Unfortunately, in 2026 he will only be able to play the first month of the season before heading off to pursue his future at Penn State. However, he plans on returning in 2027 for another full season. He will be in a vital role during the early season. He is trying to help mentor the new players as well as help Trinity get off to a hot start in 2026. He will be missed during this season, but Trinity is glad to have him for at least the start of the season.

Bella Osborne (#50)

Bella returns for her second year for Trinity after a very solid rookie season. She was arguably a gold glove catcher, and she had very good streaks at the plate as well. If she can get a little more consistency at hitting, she could be an A+ catcher in the league. Either way, she will help this Trinity team elevate to the next level.

Colton Thomas (#55)

Colton returns after a very good year in 2025. He ended up being a top of the lineup consistent hitter who could also hit for some power. He played mostly left field in 2025, with some playing time at left-center field as well. He also played some second base and third base in the last few games. This year, he looks to be Trinity’s primary outfielder with Dave moving to shortstop. He looks to be the team’s solid left-center fielder going into the year. He wants to build off of a very strong 2025 and continue to grow in 2026. He is a staple of this lineup and a big part of this team growing to the next level.

Travis Beachem (#56)

Travis Beachem is the last of the new players as well as the last member of the “Dad Squad”. He watched from the stands in 2025 and was inspired to join his sons in playing for the Trinity team. He has been hard at work during the offseason, and he looks to be a consistent hitter, hitting for both power and average. It is unknown where he will play due to him being new, but he is projected to play somewhere in the infield, specifically third base, second base, or maybe some time at first base. He could be a strong contender for rookie of the year and will definitely improve this Trinity team.

Rafe O’Donnell (#63)

Rafe is returning as the manager for the third year after creating this team. He looks to help this team wherever he can. He had an overall pretty strong season in 2025, but he aims to be more consistent at the plate in 2026, and add more power to his swing as well. He can play all over the field; he has played every position except for catcher in the past two years. He put on his recruiting shoes and is very happy with the roster he built for this 2026 team, and has no doubt in his mind that this team has what it takes to win it all in 2026. He goes into the season extremely excited and looking forward to seeing what this team does in 2026.

Brock Beachem (#86)

Brock is entering his third year with this Trinity team, and he has become an extremely good hitter and an all-star level number two pitcher. There is no doubt that Brock and Trent make the best 1-2 punch when it comes to pitching in the entire division. Brock has also been one of the best hitters in the lineup the last two years, consistently hitting for power. He has good exit velocity every time he makes contact and he has sneaky speed around the basebaths as well. He is an iconic player in the league as well. He’s become the “Killer in Khakis” with his powerful hitting and dominant pitching. He will once again be a huge part of this team.

Kaleb Young (#87)

Rounding out the roster, we have third year member of the team, Kaleb Young. Kaleb Young has been one of, if not the most improved player from 2024 to 2025. When he started in 2024, he struggled both on the defensive and offensive side of the ball. By the end of 2024, he became a fairly consistent hitter, as well as a very good catcher. He took a huge step up at the start of 2025. He started hitting it farther, and he upgraded into being the team’s starting second baseman in 2025. He became a very solid hitter that Rafe liked to put at the tail end of the lineup, so Dave could hit both Kaleb and himself in. Kaleb is also one of the fastest players on the team, up there with Trent and Dave. He looks to be more consistent on defense, after showing flashes of gold glove like defense in 2025. He has the potential to be one of the top players in the division, and will most definitely be a big contributor to the team in 2026.
